Taiwan-based Foxconn Technology Group inked a deal with Wuxi High-Tech Industrial Development Zone on the settlement of the Hong Kong-listed company MaxNerva Technology Solutions on Feb 29, according to the Wuxi government.

The Wuxi project will engage in science and technology services, such as intelligent manufacturing and Internet Plus, and offer solutions to the transformation of the manufacturing industry.

After the acquisition by Foxconn and SK in 2015, MaxNerva has provided services to large multi-nationals, such as IBM, HP and Intel, relying on its parent companies' advanced intelligent manufacturing technologies and rich industrial resources.

Sam Baker, president of MaxNerva thanked the development zone for supporting the program. He said that the company will take good advantage of the industrial resources of its parent companies of Foxconn and SK, to provide high-end intelligent manufacturing and Internet Plus, in a bid to upgrade Wuxi's manufacturing industry.

Foxconn has expanded rapidly since it was launched on the mainland in 1988, with more than 30 industrial plants throughout China.
