The first intelligent old-age service center in the Binhu district of Wuxi, will begin construction in Sunjiang community. It is expected to provide the elderly in the community with multiple kinds of services, utilizing modern technology.
The project aims at turning the community into a "nursing home" through integrating the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, mobile Internet and community resources.
The center, located at No 85 Liangqing Road, covers an area of 1,000 square meters. In addition to basic services including catering, health care and entertainment, it also provides the elderly customized services, some of which are free of charge.
Song Jianjun, an official of the community, said that after the center is put into use, the elderly can have access to a greater variety of services such as a secure environment, health management and family care by pressing a button.
The center is scheduled to open to the public by the end of this year and will be run by a prestigious agency with abundant expertise in the field.
