The 6th China (Wuxi) International Culture and Art Industry Fair (WXICAF) will be held at Taihu International Expo Center in Wuxi, Jiangsu province from Nov 19 to 23.
This year's festival at the 32,000-square-meter exhibition center will be based around the theme "highlighting the cultural innovation, building the city soul". The exhibition space will be divided into nine sections each focusing on a different topic, including film and television, creative design, craftsmanship and life aesthetics.
More than 680 exhibitors, including 116 overseas companies, have already confirmed their attendance at the fair, an all-time high.
One of the fair's highlights will be the section on craftsmanship. A total of 30 different categories of artworks made by more than 380 master craftsmen from Jiangsu's 13 cities shall be displayed in the Jiangsu Artworks Trading Pavilion.
Traditional Wuxi crafts such as Huishan clay figurines, paper cutting, celadon ceramics, yangxiang scallion pancakes and tangligao will also be on display.
Just fewer than 20 activities will also be taking place at the sidelines of the fair, including the "We talk" forum. The forum, sponsored by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture, will invite prestigious cultural experts and craftsmen from across the country to explore the classic culture in the Jiangsu province.
