The World IoT Expo will be held in the city of Wuxi from Oct 30 to Nov 1, 2016.
The Jiangsu province city is a renowned national demonstration zone for sensor network innovation.
The inaugural expo is being jointly hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology and Jiangsu Provincial People's Government.
The expo has been themed "Create IoT Era, Share Global Intelligence" and will consist of various activities including the IoT Wuxi Summit (one main conference and eight forums), an exhibition of IoT applications and products, the China National College Innovation Competition of IoT Application and the fourth Meeting of Leading Group of Wuxi National Sensor Network Innovation Demonstration Zone.
Leading figures of the central government, relevant ministries and commissions will be invited to participate in the event. Over 5,000 government officials, business leaders and experts from more than 20 countries will engage in discussions and exchange ideas on a range of topics such as smart manufacturing, smart environmental protection, smart health care, information security, big data and finance.
