Internet of things (IoT) companies from China and abroad gathered in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Nov 1 for a new IoT technologies and products awards ceremony.
A total of 62 awards were granted for pioneering excellence with ten companies crowned with gold medals, 20 winning silver, and 32 receiving the an acknowledgment of outstanding achievements. Companies that received awards were involved in a range of fields including industry, agriculture, and transportation. The prize winners were united in their having greatly contributed to IoT technology.
The cutting-edge E2E Narrow Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT) solution initiated by Huawei, China's leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, won the first place overall for new technologies and products.
Zhu Cheng, General Manager of Huawei's Cellular IoT product line, was excited about having won such a prestigious award and keen to emphasize the sophistication of the development.
"The NB-IoT technology fully satisfies the LPWA market requirements for deep coverage, mass connectivity, ultra-low power consumption, and ultra-low costs. With this leading NB-IoT solution, Huawei will continue working together with carriers and vertical industries to promote the implementation of commercial NB-IoT applications."
Second place was awarded to Guodong Group's sensor signal access network system and application solution. Third place was awarded to the data communication module created by the Beijing-based BeeTech Company.
The sub-forum, held as part of the World Internet of Things Exposition (WIOT), also released this year's IoT industry development report of China and top ten IoT application cases.
