The Wuxi Binhu district was represented by some 20 local enterprises at the 2016 World Internet of Things Exposition (WIOT) from Oct 30 to Nov 1.
Binhu companies displayed their latest technological developments and attracted large numbers of visitors with the practical applications of their innovations in daily life.
The exhibition booth of China Transportation Information & Compass Technology Co (CTICT) attracted attention with its electronic vehicle identification solution. Equipped with RFID readers, the device offers drivers more convenience when paying parking fees and provides details of parking regulations.
Representing Wuxi's unmanned aircraft equipment industry, which ranks among the best in China, unmanned aerial vehicle supplier Jiangsu Digital Eagle Technology Development Co showcased two types of UAVs: one is used by the police for public security, fire control and anti-smuggling, while the other is used in agriculture.
A pioneer in industrial automation, Xinjie Electronic Co impressed visitors with its products, which are designed to promote the humanization of working spaces.
Clients were particularly impressed by Xinjie's integrated controller product. "It transfers data quickly and supports touchscreens. And it’s energy efficient," said Xu Zeng, a representative of one of Xinjie's clients.
Xinjie's servomechanism also received acclaim. "It is easy to use with excellent performance, and offers flexible configurations," said Cheng Xiaofeng, who works at one of the company's competitors.
