Lucky Wuxi residents got the chance to attend a free music concert in celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year in the Museum of Chinese National Music in the Yunhe Park, Nanchang district of Wuxi.

The concert included renditions of 13 well-known Chinese and overseas pieces. The highlight was the final performance, of "Jasmine Flower" ("Molihua"), one of the first Chinese songs to become a hit around the world, which was played by musicians using four traditional Chinese instruments: The erhu (a two-stringed bowed instrument), zhudi (bamboo flute), guzheng (zither) and pipa (four-stringed Chinese lute), winning waves of applause.

"Although some of the performers look immature, their skills are surprisingly professional! I hope more and more public benefit activities will be held in Wuxi in the future," said one audience member after the concert.
