The city of Wuxi has become an ocean of flowers this week as the weather finally warms up. Besides the blooming cherry blossoms, peach blossoms and tulips across the city, Xihui scenic area's 50,000 potted azaleas have all come into full bloom.
Many spots in the scenic area are decorated with colorful azaleas, the city flower of Wuxi. The China Azalea Garden, built in the scenic area in 1981, accommodates more than 450 species of azalea and is the best place in the city to admire the plant.
Starting from Apr 1, this Saturday, Xihui scenic area will also launch its annual Azalea Cultural Festival. If you are still wondering where to spend the upcoming Qingming festival on Apr 2-4, why not have fun in the beautiful garden in Wuxi!
