The camera then showed viewers shots of historically important areas from ground level including Jichang Garden, a famed Chinese classical garden, and the Second Spring under Heaven, an important holy site during Tang dynasty (618-907) China.

The show was hosted by Zhang Le from Wuxi Radio and TV Station who strolled casually through the town allowing the lens to pick up many of Wuxi's simple but charming details such as its ancient architecture, folk stories and tasty delicacies.

The episode included shots of the carrying out of prayer rites, a detailing of the origins of the iconic local figures, and the consuming of qingtuan, which are green dumplings made from glutinous rice and barley grass.

One highlight was the performance of the famed piece of music The Moon Over a Fountain by 20 young Chinese erhu players. The music was originally composed by Hua Yanjun, a famous folk musician also called Blind Abing who originated from the Wuxi region.

Qingming Festival takes place on the 15th day of the Spring Equinox and has been regularly observed as a public holiday in China. The traditions include cleaning and sweeping graves, worshiping ancestors, and giving offerings of food.
