Wuxi, Jiangsu province announced on March 28 that construction of its Metro Line 4 project has started.
Metro Lines 1 and 2 were opened to traffic in July and December 2014. At the moment, the Metro Lines 3 and 4 projects and the Metro Line 1 southward extension project are under construction.
According to the construction plan, the first-phase of the Metro Line 4 project starts from Liutan Station and ends in Gonghu Avenue Station, and totals 18 stations and 24.6 kilometers.
Wuxi is predicted to have four metro lines totaling 112 kilometers by 2021, which, together with sharing of bicycles, will create a glitch-free transport system for all Wuxi residents.
