The Yixing city government has gone into partnership with industrial and military organizations to create a civil-miltary integration industrial park that will coordinate major projects.
Agreements for three projects — the Strategic Cooperation Agreement on the Civil-Military Integration Industrial Park and Industrial Funds, the Yixing Electric Logistics Van Project and the Golden Concord Holdings Limited "Shuangyang" Town Project Framework Agreement — were signed in Yixing in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on April 18.
Yixing negotiated with China North Industries Group Cooperation, HIT Robert Group and seven other companies earlier this year, jointly planning to set up the civil-military integration industrial park.
The plan aims to attract a number of civil-military integration projects and to build a national civil-military integration industrial base through designing a park, establishing a special fund and providing a range of policy services.
The Yixing Electric Van Project is being funded and constructed by GCL and TJ Innova Engineering and Technology Co. Ltd. With investment in the first phase reaching 2.837 billion yuan ($412 million) and an expected annual output of about 50,000 electric logistics vans, the project has promising market prospects.
GCL’s Shuangyang town project will effectively promote eco-tourism and urban services in Yixing. Shuangyang in Chinese refers to yangsheng (having a healthy lifestyle) and yanglao (living a pleasant and healthy life after retirement).
Cooperation between the three large and successful companies and the Municipal government, the Environmental Science and Technology Industrial Park Development Zone and several high-quality enterprises in the city shows the joint efforts made by all parties to reach a win-win result. The agreements are a boost for the city-strengthening strategy, according to Shen Jian, Yixing municipal Party committee secretary.
