Organized by Wuxi's municipal department of publicity, the event offers generous prizes to the top entries. The five first prize winners will be awarded 30,000 yuan ($7,252), while ten runners up will receive 10,000 yuan each, and twenty third prize winners will each receive 5,000 yuan.
At the same time, a special fund will be launched to help outstanding design works realize volume production and selling. It will also focus on transferring creative ideas into social productivity.
Apart from the municipal level contest, the city's industry center, Xinwu district, also launched a cultural creative competition to help talented designers, makers, and entrepreneurs in the creative and cultural industries find funding and bring their projects to the district.
