Registration for the 2017 Mashan Running Competition, which is scheduled to be held in Manshan Peninsula in Wuxi’s Binhu district on November 5, opened on August 3.

Contestants are able to register by subscribing to the official WeChat account of Huodong-la (Huodong-la). The registration fee is 70 yuan ($10.4) per person.
A total of 40,000 runners from across the country are expected to converge in Mashan to take part in the 10-kilometer race.
The top 20 runners in the men's and women's events will share prize money of 19,000 yuan. The champions will take home 2,000 yuan, while the runners-up and third place finishers shall receive 1,500 yuan and 1,000 yuan respectively.
The competition is sponsored by the Wuxi Taihu National Tourist Resort administrative committee and Wuxi's sports bureau, and is designed to encourage local people to pursue a healthy lifestyle and to boost the region's international profile.
