The opening ceremony for the establishment of an Internet of Things (IoT) demonstration town in Xuelang was held in the Taihu New City of Wuxi on Aug 16.
Li Xiaomin, the Party secretary of Wuxi, Wang Jian, the founder of Alibaba Cloud, Wang Quan, the mayor of Wuxi and various representatives from IoT enterprises attended the opening ceremony.
"The cooperation between Xuelang town in Wuxi and Yunxi town in Hangzho confirms Jiangsu and Zhejiang province as trial centers for updating the traditional manufacturing industry by applying internet technology and promoting industrial upgrading," Wang Jian said in the opening ceremony.
