Celebrate Chinese Valentine's Day—Qixi Festival—in style on August 28!
Wuxi is offering free tickets to six couples for a special Qixi Festival boat tour of the Grand Canal.
You will set off at 6.30 pm and enjoy a romantic cruise down the ancient waterway. You'll also get the chance to sample an array of delicious local delicacies and experience a "pingtan" show, a traditional storytelling art.
Toward the end of the tour, you can try releasing wish lanterns, a Chinese tradition that is believed to help lovers realize their dreams.
This free tour is being organized by Wuxi to introduce the city's culture and heritage to its overseas residents. It should last about two hours.
