An award ceremony was also held, during which Wuxi's top 10 overseas business leaders and top 100 private companies were announced.
The list of the top 100 Wuxi private companies reflected the strength of the city's business culture and investment environment.
This year's entrants all boasted an annual income of over 1 billion yuan and paid more than 15 million yuan per year in taxes.
Among the entrants were famous brands such as clothing companies Heilan Group and Hodo Group, and the global investment management specialist Far East Holding Group.
"I think it's the spirit and dedication to the real economy that brings Wuxi businesspeople so closely together," said Chen Lifen, chairman of Jiangsu Sunshine Group.
