According to the Meicun Erhu Industry Association, the move makes sense because the Meicun brand is more powerful than that of any individual company.
"This is the beginning for Meicun's erhu brand to ascend to the international stage," said a spokesperson from the association. "We will use team work to expand the visibility of our erhu brand."
The Meicun booth, with its traditional Jiangnan-style decoration and striking slogan, has already proved popular with visitors at Music China since the fair opened on Oct 11.
The erhu makers will be hoping to attract even more buyers before the fair comes to an end on Saturday.
