Numerous unearthed cultural relics are exhibited in the museum. You may encounter antiques from every major dynasty from Chinese history, such as the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC) and Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220).

To help visitors better understand the history of Helyu city and Wu culture, a 3-D cinema and interactive multimedia hall have been built, where people can experience the customs of the ancient Kingdom of Wu and learn about the origins of Wu culture.

"Though Wu people are considered as gentle and polite, we are actually a formidable and courageous people, as can be seen from the swords on display. I feel warm inside when I see those antiques. The exhibits carry the historical memories of Wuxi people," said Gu Zhongde, the former general secretary of Wuxi's Literature and Arts Association.
