The first Taihu Lake Youth Music Festival was held on Oct 28 in Wuxi, Jiangsu province.

The music festival is a charity event supported by Wuxi municipal government, aiming to call attention to the needs of autistic children and raise funds to provide these children with beneficial music training.

The tickets were not available for commercial sale. The sponsor offered free tickets to citizens by drawing lots online.

After three months of preparation, 19 domestic and international teams performed a wonderful show.

Local musicians in Wuxi founded a music union during the opening ceremony. Musicians of different styles can communicate and exchange their ideas on music with no limitation.

The music festival also invited citizens to perform on the stage. Twenty music lovers competed among over 400 people and won the chance to show their love of music and charity.

A local creative market opened in the afternoon, with items on sale including handmade items, ornaments and desserts.

Some of the market owners donated part of their proceeds to autistic children rehabilitation agencies.
