The annual output value surpassed 88.1 billion yuan ($13.3 billion), representing a year-on-year growth of 5.6 percent. By the end of 2015, Wuxi had 16 reputed trademarks in the energy-saving and environmental protection industry, 20 provincial-level and above enterprise technology centers, including 4 State level, 25 provincial-level and above engineering technology centers and research centers. There were near 1,000 patents for invention and over 4,500 high-level technical professionals. More than 100 energy-saving and environmental protection enterprises established cooperation relationships with domestic colleges, universities and institutions. A total of 16 environmental protection public service platforms were successively set up. Jiangsu Wuzhou was rated as the foremost demonstration platform for public service, for small and medium-sized enterprises.
