Wuxi's film and television scene is set for a boost with the newly-launched Taobao Film and Television Academy at Wuxi City College of Vocational Technology.

Sponsored by Wuxi Taobao Films Ltd, the Academy was set up in response to the industry's need for talent in broadcast media.

It offers three different majors, including radio, film and TV production, animation design and production, and character image design.
