Jiangyin, Yixing should integrate with Wuxi's all-for-one tourism

Speaking of famous scenic spots in Wuxi, the Lingshan Grand Buddha and Turtle Head Isle would spring into tourists' minds but they may know little about the scenic spots in Jiangyin and Yixing, said tourism industry representatives.

The tourism industry in the two county-level cities actually has seen rapid development over the past year. Major projects worth 10 billion yuan ($1.51 billion) have settled in the two cities and the Yangxian ecotourism area in Yixing was listed as a national resort.

They believe that the integrated development of tourism in the three cities is important for better development of Wuxi's tourism industry.

The tourism resources in Yixing are the richest in the county-level cities in the Yangtze River Delta, but they cannot be discovered in the tourism products in Wuxi.

In this situation, Wuxi should start to include Yixing's scenic spots in their advertisements and tourism products to introduce the city to more people at home and abroad and Yixing for its part should also be active in Wuxi's all-for-one tourism.

Jiangyin, to the north of Wuxi, should focus on the development of its southern tourism resources. With the advantage of the intercity rail system, Wuxi and Jiangyin could establish an efficient regional tourism community.
