A press release for the 2018 Beverly Wuxi Marathon was held today, as there are now only 6 days left before the grand sporting event.
It was announced that the Wuxi Marathon has now officially joined the "Run China" marathon series, which is praised as being a national business series, representing a healthy, dynamic, confident and innovative China, according to Zhang Zhenhua, the vice director of the Wuxi sports bureau.
The Wuxi Marathon will kick off at 7:30 on March 25, with 30,000 runners taking part in the race. Among them, there are some 1,000 foreign runners from 52 countries and regions all over the world. After 4 years' preparation, it has been the fifth time for Wuxi to host an international marathon, and it is expected to be a success.
The Wuxi Marathon is highly praised for its thoughtful service. "Besides the standard supply depots along the running route, citizens and cheer squads will be rooting for those who have been running for dozens of kilometers on the latter half of the marathon", said Li Changzheng, the general manager of Huipao Events, a Wuxi company in charge of organizing many marathons.
Runners will run by beautiful scenic spots, including Turtle Head Isle, the Light of Lihu Lake and Lihu Central Park, as well as Taihu New City, the economic and political center of Wuxi. Wuxi is well prepared to embrace the coming of runners from all over the world!
