Wuxi People's Hospital and Wuxi Second People's Hospital have been included on a list of the top 100 most competitive hospitals in the country, Wuxi Daily reported on March 27.
The list, compiled by Hong Kong Ailibi Hospital Research Center and Social Sciences Academic Press, selected the top 100 hospitals at various levels including county-level, prefecture-level, provincial-level and non-public level.
Wuxi People's Hospital and Wuxi Second People's Hospital ranked 15th and 60th at the county-level, while the former ranked eighth at the top 30 provincial-level hospital for its high-end technologies.
Wuxi People's Hospital completed 142 cases of lung transplantation, accounting for over 60 percent of the nation total, ranked top in Asia and second around the world.
Wuxi Second People's Hospital became one of the 28 Chinese hospitals to pass the HIMSS6 international certification last year, taking part in the medical knowledge base with latest medical literature and cases.
