Crowne Plaza Wuxi City Center reopens for business

The opening and lighting ceremony for Crowne Plaza Wuxi City Center was held on March 31. Liu Yonghong, deputy director of the Wuxi Travel Bureau and Rob Spiekerma, Jiangsu operations director of Intercontinental Hotel Group were present at the ceremony.

The hotel, a symbol of luxury, was run by Kempinski Hotels for the past 10 years, but was taken over by InterContinental Hotel Group after the expiration of the management contract, and was renamed Crowne Plaza Wuxi City Center.

Located near the Beijing-Hangzhou Grande Canal in central Wuxi's Liangxi district, the hotel provides easy access to subway Line 1 and Taihu Square. It takes just 15 minutes to drive to Xinwu district, the business center, the railway station and Sunan International Airport. Carrefour, the Wuxi Museum, and the Wuxi Library are also within walking distance. Turtle-Head Peninsula Park, the Plum Garden, Xihui Park and other popular tourist attractions are also easily accessible.

The luxury hotel has 400 rooms and suites, 11 meeting rooms, and an 806-square-meter banquet hall that can accommodate 540 guests for dinner or celebrations.

The hotel also has five uniquely styled restaurants and bars. The Bavarian Brew House is particularly noteworthy, as it was designed in a German style and is equipped with a full set of German beer-brewing equipment, providing guests with fresh home-brewed German beer.
