The Wuxi-Wuhan Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, on April 17, and was attended by delegates from Wuxi Binhu's district and main tourism agencies from Wuhan.

Representatives from famous tourist attractions in Wuxi's Binhu district introduced some of their tourist sites at the conference, including Lingshan Scenic Area, Turtle Isle Scenic Area and the Wuxi Movie/TV production base.

According to Rui Qingyan, deputy director of the Binhu District Tourism Bureau, a total of 21 million tourists visited local tourist sites in Wuxi's Binhu district in 2017, bringing in a total tourism revenue of 23.2 billion yuan ($3.7 billion).

In recent years, Wuxi's Binhu district has been focusing on the development of "all-for-one tourism", relying on its natural resources and industrial advantages. Also, Binhu district is currently improving its tourism destinations and trying to promote its brand of tourism.

As the largest city in Central China, Wuhan's permanent population has reached 10.91 million, making it an important source of tourists for Wuxi. Thanks to the high-speed rail, people can travel from Wuhan to Wuxi within five hours, allowing Wuhan residents to spend their weekends in Wuxi.

Ni Shouhong, deputy director of the Binhu District People's Government, hoped Wuxi and Wuhan could build a cooperation platform for the development of "all-for-one tourism" in both cities.
