A total of 21 enterprises were included in the white list of automotive batteries and hydrogen fuel cells industry, including Shenzhen-based BYD, Guoxuan Hi-Tech Company and Wuxi-based GMCC Electronic Technology Company.
The list was released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and China Automotive Battery Industry Innovation Alliance on May 22.
Located in Huishan Economic Development Zone in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, GMCC is a high-tech entrepreneurial pioneer that mainly produces high-end supercapacitors.
A supercapacitor is an energy storage device, widely used in the fields of new energy vehicles, rail transit and micro-power grids. About 90 percent of China's demand for supercapacitors relies on developed countries and regions.
The relevant person with the GMCC noted that supercapacitors have a high capacity and can be charged quickly, in a few seconds to minutes. They are reliable, safe and pollution-free, and can be used in a wide range of applications.

GMCC has developed a complete industrial chain for producing high-quality supercapacitors. GMCC's supercapacitors have prominent advantages over those of foreign brands in terms of performance in such factors as energy density and recycling. These products have been exported to South Korea, Europe and the United States among other countries and regions.
"As an entrepreneurial company that was founded and grew in Wuxi, we hope our products can be shared with Wuxi citizens and companies with potential for finding applications in this city," an official with GMCC said.
"At present, Wuxi has more than 300 new energy buses using the Maxwell supercapacitors from the United States and tens of thousands of elevators. We can also help them save energy and reduce consumption."
Enterprises such as Wuxi Ports and Terminals, Metro Transport and Wuxi Crane Heavy Industry can cooperate with GMCC to integrate resources and enhance the competitive advantages of their products.
