Covering a total planning area of 3.75 square kilometers, Huihaiwan town, built by the State-run technology enterprise China Electronics Technology HIK Group Co Ltd (CETHIK), is located in the Xin'an sub-district of Wuxi's Xinwu district.
Located in the core area of the National Sensor Network and the South Jiangsu National Innovation Demonstration Zone, Huihaiwan town consists of two key internet of things (IoT) demonstration towns together with Hongshan town.
CETHIK has signed an agreement with the Wuxi municipal government to establish the company's second base on Feb 28, 2017, which was supported by China Electronics Technology Group Corporation and the Jiangsu provincial people's government.
Wuxi has always focused on building a good ecological system for the development of the IoT. Huihaiwan town can provide a favorable environment and great potential for the development of both sides through extending the industrial chain, according to a representative of CETHIK.
"The establishment of Huihaiwan town aims to drive the small and medium-sized enterprises in Wuxi to realize middle and high-end growth in the IoT industry based on CETHIK's platform and managerial experience," the representative said.
In order to achieve a win-win situation with the IoT enterprises in Wuxi, Huihaiwan town has tried to set up an industrial park and a CETHIK Wuxi Research Institute, and provide service platforms and industrial funds to such fields as intelligent sensing and micro-nano technology transition.
CETHIK also launched a joint training program for postgraduates to provide high-end talents to the industry. "Ten people from Xidian University have been enrolled and will work in CETHIK at the beginning of next year," according to the enterprise.
