This year's annual lantern show at Plum Garden will introduce laser projection technology on water, in addition to integrating modern lamps and lighting arts, from Sept 8 to Oct 7.
The show consists of the four areas of the 40 Years of Reform and Opening-up, Ten Years of Plum Garden Lantern Shows, Parent-child Interaction and Performance, with a total of more than 20 lighting groups.
In order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up, this year's lighting art festival, for the first time, incorporates lighting arts into urban lighting through presenting a themed lamp group along the green belt outside of the garden.
The lanterns were built by more than 50 skillful craftsmen over more than one month.

The 2018 Plum Garden lantern festival will combine projection and laser technologies to offer an enchanting lighting show on water, a projection performance and a 3D lighting show.
The laser show on water will start at 6:45 pm and end at 9:45 pm.
More than nine performances, such as acrobatic shows and silk dancing will be carried out by the Wuqiao acrobatic troupe at Helan Square at 7:30 pm and 8:20 pm every night.
