Zhu Feng, born in Wuxi and now settled in Meicun, Xinwu district, started learning Chinese painting when he was young. His unlimited manipulation of the brush takes unique skill and resembles the wild style of his calligraphry.
Liang Yuan, deputy chairman of Wuxi Cultural Federation, noted Wuxi is the hometown of many Chinese calligraphy and painting masters, including Gu Kaizhi, Xu Beihong and Wu Guanzhong.
During the opening ceremony, Zhu Feng donated two of his paintings, Mei Hua Bao Chun (Plum blossom heralds the approach of spring) and Si Gua (Towel gourd), to Wuxi Museum's permanent collections.
