"It will take me many years to improve my violin making skills to meet the top standards of the industry worldwide," said Wang Hao in an interview with Chinadaily.com.cn Oct 24.
Two years ago Wang won a double gold medal for violin and viola making at an international competition held in Cremona, a famous violin-making city in Italy.
The violin maker has learned the musical instrument since he was 7 years old, but instead of learning how to make the instrument, he learned how to play it.
"My overseas studies in Italy after graduating from a Chinese university helped me find my lifelong interest: violin making," Wang said.
During his first two-year stint studying in Italy, Wang found that his violin playing fell short of his wishes and it was difficult for him to continue.
